Davidson-Phipps Is A Blue

We are delighted to confirm the signing of right-back, Rio Davidson-Phipps, after his departure from Canvey Island.
Rio joined Scottish league one side, Cove Rangers, on a full time contract for the 23/24 season after impressing manager Paul Hartley in a trial during the summer.
The defender started his career at Barnet, which included several loan moves until he moved to Bishop’s Stortford in 2021. Following his departure from Stortford, he moved to Haringey towards the end of last campaign.
Mark Stimson added “I am happy to welcome Rio to the club. He’s aggressive and quick, which is what we need in our backline. He has a real pro attitude and a determination rarely seen at this level.”
Margate can also confirm the departure of right-back, Archie Panyi. We wish Archie all the best in the future.
Rio is able to play against his old club, Canvey, on Saturday!
