HDP Development Update
Margate Football Club can confirm that initial works to install new changing rooms at Hartsdown Park will start on Monday 22nd August 2022.
The initial works will see services run along the five-a-side fencing on the west side of the stadium, works carried out to the front wall and front gates of Hartsdown Park and drainage installation under where the new changing rooms will be positioned.
The Club is delighted with this positive step forward and remain on track for a November completion.
Work carried out will be Coniston Construction who have over 40 years of experience in construction, and currently have high profile clients such as the National Trust, Royal Household, National Gallery, British Museum, Metropolitan Police, NHS, King’s School Canterbury, London Ambulance, Canterbury Cathedral, Somerset House and Victoria & Albert Museum.
Supporters, and customers that use Hartsdown Park will notice some minor changes to their visit to HDP from Monday. To ensure safety to everyone visiting Hartsdown Park whilst the works are carried out, there will be no access to the Fives from the side gate along the west side of the stadium, and all customers must enter the pitches from the car park entrance. The main car park situated by the turnstiles will remain open for parking.
Furthermore, on matchday’s at Hartsdown Park, supporters wishing to swap ends will be unable to do so behind the seated stand, and now must make their way down in-front of the seated stand. The Club will ensure that this is supervised at busy periods.
Supporters should note that standing in-front of the seated stands is not permitted, and also that whilst this part of the stadium is a construction site, supporters should take note and acknowledge and respect all construction signs within the ground.
The Club will continue to update supporters with further updates as and when possible. We hope all supporters share our excitement that development works will be commencing next week at Hartsdown Park.
