Rogers Re-Signs For 2018/19 Season
Margate Football Club is delighted to announce midfielder James Rogers has signed a new contract extending his stay at Hartsdown Park for the 2018/19 campaign.
Putting pen to paper on Tuesday afternoon, Rogers admitted he is already counting down to the start of a new season with The Gate.
“I’m pleased to sign for another year as I’ve really enjoyed my time since joining the club. I want to be a part of things moving forwards and making sure we build on the progress made last season.”
“The fans have been fantastic since I signed and the club as a whole has lots of exciting things going on. So, I’m already looking forward to a good pre-season with the boys and pushing on from there.”
The club can also confirm Matt Bodkin has been released. We’d like to thank Matt for his contribution as both a player and fitness coach.
Chris Sessengon has informed the club of his plans to concentrate on getting back to full match fitness before pledging his commitment to any club for next season.
This is a decision the club respects and would like to wish Chris all the best on his road to recovery, with no doubts he will come back better and stronger after a frustrating period on the side lines.
