Young Gate Fan Enjoys Extra Special Match Day
It was an extra special night under the Hartsdown Park lights for Mini Gator Summer Constable on Tuesday evening.
The young Margate supporter won the club's #MFChristmas prize to be a McDonalds Mascot for the mid-week clash against Brightlingsea.
Besides being a sensation reading out the teams on the mic before kick-off, Summer proved to be a lucky charm too as The Gate produced a gritty second half display to beat their Bostik League rivals 4-2.
Following the match, Summer's Dad - lifelong Margate supporter - Darren, got in touch with the club.
"Thank you so much for an amazing night. Summer absolutely loved the experience from beginning to end."
"It was a proud Dad night. Having supported Margate since the late 80's, I never got to do the honour of leading the team's and it made my heart glow to see her.
"
"You couldn't have done anymore for my daughter, it went above and beyond what I thought she would do."
"She especially loved being on the microphone and then centre of attention on the pitch, you have made a friend for life in Summer"
And it looks like Summer will be joining lots of young fans at this Saturday's Margate FC Christmas party too.
"We will be there again Saturday through thick and thin. Once again thanks so much, this is the best the club has looked in such along time."
