MATCH PREVIEW / Margate v Leiston (Bostik Premier)
Margate v Leiston (Bostik Premier)
The Blues were held to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday evening by Tonbridge Angels in their first game at Hartsdown Park on the new 3G pitch which was installed over the summer. Saturdays visitors Leiston have won their first two and currently sit 3rd in the Bostik Premier.
Leiston followed up their opening day win with a 1-0 win away at newly promoted Brightlingsea Regent and they will arrive at Hartsdown Park looking to extend their 100% record so far.
Margate boss Steve Watt could make some changes from his last squad with the arrival of Jordan Chiedozie this week, however the 23 year old may not be ready for his Margate debut as he continues to improve his fitness.
Last time these two sides met at Hartsdown Park was the last time the Blues were in this division three seasons ago as Charlie Allen netted a 94th minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw which preserved Margate’s then unbeaten run at the start of the 2014/15 season.
With the highest attendance of the division on Tuesday night with 632 packed into Hartsdown Park, the Blues will be hoping for another huge home support to get behind them as they continue their Bostik Premier campaign.
Kick off at Hartsdown Park is 3pm but as always if you can’t be here then why not stay right up to date on the clubs twitter feed @margate_fc.
Why not join us at Hartsdown Park and watch Swansea v Manchester United live on the big screens from 12:30pm?
