Lowestoft Town v Margate
Margate make the 350 round mile trip to Lowestoft Town on Saturday (tomorrow) looking to make it five unbeaten in the Bostik Premier League.
Due to the ongoing Buildbase FA Trophy wrangle which has seen the Blues 2nd qualifying round opposition Bowers & Pitsea removed from the competition due to fielding a player whilst under suspension subject to appeal, the Blues haven’t played for 10 days since that 2-1 away win at Merstham.
Goals from Jordan Chiedozie and Kane Haysman that night saw the Blues come from behind to close the gap on the play-off contenders.
Margate will be without Midfielder Jack Evans who serves a one game ban for collecting five yellow cards this season. Steve Watt is also likely to be without defenders Chris Sessegnon (knee) and Tom Wynter (hamstring) meaning the boss is likely to have to reshuffle his back line.
The ‘Gate face a Lowestoft form who have struggled for results recently. The Suffolk side lost to Thurrock 3-0 on Tuesday evening as they slipped to 15th in the Bostik Premier League standings.
The Suffolk side have just one win from their last six games which was a 1-0 win over Merstham but they have been shipping goals recently with 19 conceded in them six games.
Kick off at Crown Meadow is 3pm but as always if you can’t join us then you can stay right up to date on the clubs official Twitter feed @margate_fc from 2:15pm.
