Margate have nothing to play for other than pride as they look to avoid finishing bottom of the league table, however Steve Watt has injuries and suspensions as the Gate look to foil Maidenhead’s title charge.
Michael Thalassitis will start his two game ban for his red card at Oxford City last week while Dean Morgan remains unlikely to play after suffering a knee injury against Ebbsfleet United. Margate boss Watt could recall on-loan Jonathan Miles to the side in place of Valery Pajetat, however Pajetat remained number one last week despite Miles’s availability.
Maidenhead United are just three points away from promotion to the National League Premier and have a strong core of players to help them in their battle including striker Dave Tarpey who has netted 43 times in the League.
Last week in their 2-1 home defeat to Ebbsfleet in front of nearly 3,500, Maidenhead netted their 100th goal of the season in what has been an incredible National League South campaign. Alan Devonshire also has James Mulley to call upon.
When the two sides met in December it was the hosts who ran out 2-0 winners to send the Blues bottom of the Vanarama National League South table.
Kick off at Hartsdown Park is 3pm but as always if you can’t be here then you can stay right up to date on the Clubs official Twitter feed @Margate_fc from 2pm.
