The new Boss remains hopeful that he could name some new faces on his team sheet this evening, while Margate fans await the debut of new signing Aiden Palmer who remained on the bench in Saturday’s defeat.
Chelmsford City arrive at Hartsdown Park on the back of a thrilling 4-3 win over Concord Rangers as they strengthened their chances of a play-off place as we approach crunch time in the season.
Rod Stringer has seen his side record tight wins over Concord and Dartford recently and Margate will be of course wary of former Blues Striker Elliott Buchanan who joined the Clarets in November after a short stint at Hartsdown Park, however it remains to be seen if he will be fit after picking up a slight injury in Saturday’s win.
When these two sides met back in August on the first Monday night football of the season it was the Clarets who beat a much different Margate side 2-0 at The Melbourne Stadium.
Margate currently find themselves getting slightly cut adrift at the bottom of the National League South table however three points tonight would see that gap closed to eight points from safety, a win for the visitors could see them cement their place in the top five of the division.
Kick off at Hartsdown Park is 7:45pm but as always if you can’t be there then you can stay right up to date on the Clubs official Twitter feed @margate_fc from 7pm.
